AA3003 and AA5052 aluminum alloys are optimal for perforated metal rainscreens due to their corrosion resistance and structural integrity.
Perforation geometry directly affects ventilation efficiency (≥35% open area recommended) and water drainage rates.

– Maintain 20mm minimum cavity depth
– Use stainless steel brackets (AISI 304/316)
2. Panel Fixing:
– Clip-and-rail systems allow 5mm thermal movement
– Concealed fasteners require pilot hole chamfering

– Apply butyl tape at horizontal joints
– Silicone sealants must meet ASTM C920 Class 25
