The maximum unsupported span of a horizontal louver is determined by three factors: the louver profile, local wind load requirements, and the allowable deflection. Deeper and more structural profiles, like airfoil shapes, can naturally span longer distances than smaller, rectangular blades. For every project, our technical team performs project-specific calculations to determine the necessary blade profile and support spacing to meet engineering standards safely. This ensures the system is robust, durable, and performs correctly under environmental loads without excessive sagging or vibration.
Maintenance for our aluminum horizontal louvers is minimal due to the durability of both the aluminum substrate and the high-performance finishes. To maintain their appearance, we recommend simple, periodic cleaning. Typically, a gentle wash with a solution of mild soap and water, applied with a soft cloth or sponge, is sufficient to remove accumulated dust and grime. This should be followed by a thorough rinse with clean water. We advise against using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemical solvents, or high-pressure power washers, which can potentially damage the finish.
