– Why? PVDF offers excellent salt spray resistance (tested for 3,000+ hours), UV stability (25-year warranty), and self-cleaning properties.
– Alternative: Anodized aluminum offers corrosion resistance but lacks color variety.
– Data: PVDF-coated panels retain 90% of their gloss after 10 years, compared to 70% for powder coating.
– Application Tip: For high-salinity environments, specify a 3-coat PVDF system (primer + color + clear).
Follow the following engineering checklist:
1. Hole pattern: maintain a spacing of ≥2x hole diameter between perforations
2. Material thickness: use 3mm+ aluminum to achieve >30% open area
3. Edge reinforcement: add 20mm non-perforated border around the edge of the panel
4. Load testing: verify wind load capacity through physical testing (EN 13830 standard)
