Solid aluminum itself is a non-combustible material. It does not burn and will not contribute fuel to a fire, making it one of the safest material choices for building facades and interior cladding. While the aluminum base metal does not burn, the overall fire rating of the final assembly can be influenced by the surface coating and any insulation or backing materials used.
