Integrating aluminium louvers into a curtain wall is a common and effective practice. The most prevalent method is using glazing adaptors. These are custom-sized aluminum frames that are fitted around the perimeter of the louver unit. This adaptor creates a consistent infill thickness that matches the adjacent glass panels, allowing the entire louver assembly to be installed directly into the curtain wall’s glazing pockets just like a standard pane of glass. This method ensures a seamless, weatherproof integration with the mullions and transoms of the curtain wall system, maintaining the facade’s structural and aesthetic integrity while providing necessary ventilation or screening.
