Pure aluminum and its alloys are rated as Class A1, indicating “no contribution to fire” under European regulations. When tested under standards like BS 476, solid aluminum sheets achieve the highest classifications for fire safety, including Class 1 for surface spread of flame and a Class 0 overall rating, which limits heat release during a fire. This inherent fire resistance ensures that the panels will not burn and will not contribute to the spread of a fire, making them a safe and compliant choice for building envelopes.

The panels can be precisely perforated into a vast array of patterns to enhance aesthetics, control light transmission, and improve ventilation.
